The CPKC Holiday Train is rolling back through Metro Detroit on Saturday, Nov 22
While it won’t stop here, you can still catch the magic.
Each year, the train travels thousands of miles across Canada and the U.S., hosting live concerts, lighting up communities, collecting food donations, and spreading holiday cheer. Since its start in 1999, it’s raised over $26 million and donated more than 5.4 million pounds of food to local food banks.
This year’s season runs Nov 19 through Dec 21. While Michigan doesn’t host any official stops, the train’s radiant display, live music, and holiday spirit make it a must-see in motion.
It’ll pass through Downriver the evening of Nov 22 as it travels from Windsor to Chicago. Best places to watch include Thunder Bowl Lanes in Allen Park, Walmart parking lot in Taylor, and trackside near Romulus, Milan, or Adrian.
Note: Lights may temporarily dim in certain areas for safety and viewers are encouraged to watch safely from a distance.
Want to see the full performance up close?
Head to Windsor, ON from 5–5:30PM on Nov 22 where Smash Mouth and JJ Wilde will be performing live before the train crosses into the U.S.
Save the date. Bring the fam. Watch the magic roll through.
