Authorities Seek Public's Help in Locating Missing Rochester Hills Teen

Oakland County Sheriff's deputies are requesting assistance from the community to locate 17-year-old Janella Arlene Nicholas, a resident of Rochester Hills, who has been missing since Friday, November 7, 2025.

 

Janella, a senior at the Alternative Center for Education (ACE) in Rochester Hills, was last observed disembarking from her school bus around 3 p.m. on Friday. Instead of heading home, she reportedly entered an older model Jeep Cherokee with an unidentified individual and departed the area.

 

Her father reported her missing later that evening, prompting an immediate investigation by local authorities.

 

Janella is described as standing 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 135 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt.

 

Investigators believe she may have traveled to the western part of Michigan. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office urges anyone with information regarding Janella's whereabouts to contact them at 248-858-4950.
