Farmers' Almanac Bids Farewell After 208 Years |
Iconic publication concludes with 2026 edition amid financial challenges |
After more than two centuries of guiding farmers and gardeners, the Farmers' Almanac has announced that its 2026 edition will be its final publication.
Established in 1818, the Farmers' Almanac has been a trusted source for long-range weather forecasts, gardening tips, and folk wisdom.
Editor Sandi Duncan expressed gratitude to the publication's loyal readers, stating, "We are incredibly proud of the legacy we leave behind and grateful to our loyal staff, readers, contributors, and partners who have supported us through the years."
The decision to cease publication stems from increasing financial challenges in today's complex media landscape.
Despite its rich history and dedicated readership, the almanac found it difficult to sustain operations.
The final 2026 edition is currently available for purchase, and the online version will remain accessible until December 2025.
As the Farmers' Almanac concludes its remarkable journey, its spirit and wisdom will continue to inspire those who cherish its contributions to agriculture and daily life. |
