Based on the 2026 calendar, here are the dates for the most prominent festivals that famously take over their respective small towns:

 

Spring & Early Summer

  • Vermontville Maple Syrup Festival (Vermontville)

     

  • Dates: April 24 – April 26, 2026

    • The "Granddaddy" of Michigan syrup festivals; the whole town smells like maple.

  • Mesick Mushroom Festival (Mesick)

    • Dates: May 8 – May 10, 2026

    • Celebrating the morel mushroom in the "Mushroom Capital of the World.

 

  • National Morel Mushroom Festival (Boyne City)

    • Dates: Traditionally mid-May (approx. May 14 – May 17, 2026)

 

  • National Cereal Festival (Battle Creek)

    • Dates: June 12 – June 13, 2026

    • Features the "World's Longest Breakfast Table" right downtown.

 

  • Bayport Fish Sandwich Festival (Bay Port)

    • Dates: Typically early August (August 7 – August 9, 2026)

    • A massive fish fry that has been a staple in the Thumb since 1978.

 

Peak Summer

  • National Cherry Festival (Traverse City)

    • Dates: July 4 – July 11, 2026

    • Celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

 

  • National Blueberry Festival (South Haven)

    • Dates: August 6 – August 9, 2026

    • One of the country's oldest craft and food festivals.

 

  • Howell Melon Festival (Howell)

    • Dates: Typically mid-August (August 14 – August 16, 2026)

    • Famous for the "Howell Melon Ice Cream."

 

Harvest & Fall

 

  • Wild Blueberry Festival (Paradise)

    • Dates: August 21 – August 23, 2026

    • A small-town gem near Whitefish Point in the U.P.

 

  • Michigan Peach Festival (Romeo)

    • Dates: September 3 – September 7, 2026 (Labor Day Weekend)

 

  • Posen Potato Festival (Posen)

    • Dates: September 11 – September 13, 2026

    • A massive celebration of Polish heritage and, of course, potatoes.

 

  • Four Flags Apple Festival (Niles)

    • Dates: Late September (September 24 – September 27, 2026)

Olivebee Farm Stand

We’re located on N Milford Rd, about 1/2 mile north of Wiggle N Giggle Daycare — at the top of the hill by the three big pine trees
You’ll see the farm stand right out front!
 
Olivebee Farm Stand is officially opening this weekend and we are so excited to share it with our community.
Highland, MI
Hours:
Friday: 10 AM – Dusk
Saturday: 8 AM – Dusk
Sunday: 8 AM – Dusk (while supplies last)
Our stand is self-serve and stocked with a mix of farm-made and homegrown goods including:
Raw honey
Tallow products Fresh baked goods & pasta
Homemade dog treats
Alpaca goods
And a few fun surprises
Everything is made or thoughtfully sourced with care from our family farm.

We’ll be adding more throughout the season (flowers coming soon)
